< Survey: Review your University >

We are adding more, but for now you can search our directory for universities by field of interest, and read graduate and undergraduate comments on the environment and social life of the university.

Search our database of graduate schools:

Search for Graduate Program/Concentration: (by program name)

Limit to Schools that are Similar to (School Name):

*Tip - type in the program name you are looking for (i.e. "Math"), but also type in a school you are thinking about into the Similar School box. This will show universities that provide the program you are looking for, but will limit the search to universities that people consider "similar" (i.e. Harvard and Princeton, etc.).

Grad-School Search Advice:
In your search for a graduate school, we recommend going to your favorite academic publication site (citeseer, medline, etc.) in your field. Download about 10 papers on topics you are interested in. While you read the papers to assess academic quality of research, pay special attention to the faculty names and universities listed at the top and referenced in the bibliography. Contact a few of the faculty referenced and their graduate students and ask them a few questions. They can give some insight into the program, the research, or other programs at other universities.

Try our Research Search:
Use this search to schools or institutes where research is done in the specific area you are interested in. For instance processor design, quantum chromodynamics, or hippocampus memory. Feel free to be specific.
